God will give you the guidance that you need.

It is amazing the times that God speaks to you, and you hear him as if he were standing right next to you. Asher preached about this 2 Sundays ago, with God’s guidance moving him toward becoming a pastor and leading our church. One of those times for me was when I was in a dark place in my life. My relationship that I was in was not going in the right direction. At the same time my ex-fiancé, from eight years earlier, just got in contact with me. With my current relationship coming to an end, and my ex getting ahold of me after eight years I was a little confused as to where my life was going. I was not sure what my ex-fiancé’s  intentions were until I asked her point blank. She said that the main reason was to  give me closure and for her to apologize for the way things ended. With all this going on, I was driving back from Lowes on the north side when a voice told me that I needed to give a friend a call that I had known for about three years. Of  course, that friend was Anna, and she was traveling through Europe with her mom at the time. From that moment on, Anna was the only thing on my mind. It was  like a beacon that God was guiding me toward. When she finished her trip with her mom, I called her up and we started to talk a little more frequently. We scheduled a time for us to get together. This was because she was living in Tillamook, OR, and I was here in Spokane. It happened that a friend from work needed a shift exchange to get some time off and it worked out that there was a day available for leave in the last week of August that would work for me to travel down to Tillamook. It worked out that Anna was available during that  weekend. When I made the trip and saw her for the first time after 3 years, it was  like no time had passed. When your life seems to be going in all the wrong  directions, listen and put your trust in God. Pray. He will give you the guidance that you need. It is said in Proverbs 4:20-21

My son, pay attention to what I say;

turn your ear to my words.

Do not let them out of your sight,

keep them within your heart.

If we look to God for our guidance, we will never be steered in the wrong direction.
